Jailed for Comfort

‪A prisoner learns to love the prison. It’s walls keep the truth comfortably away. Everyone wants a heaven in their thoughts, they would‬ prefer that God wasn’t there upon arrival. They laugh at the prisoners daring to peak out at the world. Or trying to scale the walls,

“That’s not for you” they claim.

No need for guards here; in this world gone insane. Better to nurture your hurts where it is dark. So you can’t be blamed. Why accept your faults when there’s always an other to accuse?

Was it God that wrecked your life, or is it life misused? Best not to dwell on it, what’s on the news?
